Devekut is cleaving or attachment to G-d — living connection, not a temporary emotional spike marketed as spirituality. It is the aim of refined middot and service: the soul turns toward its Source.
If you are Jewish: Devekut is pursued through Torah, mitzvot, prayer, and refined middot. Personal development prepares the vessel; devekut is destination language for relationship with G-d.
If you are not Jewish: Connection to the One G-d is ethical monotheism and the Noahide path — prayer of the heart and righteous action without Jewish ritual forms.
